After graduating , Örs Petnehazy worked at the University of Veterinary Science, Budapest. He was a lecturer in veterinary anatomy, veterinary regional anatomy in hungarian, english and german languages. He is working at the Institute of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Oncology since 2005 as a research veterinarian as a member of the human pre-clinial research group. He made diagnostic imaging for pets. His PhD thesis was "Invasive and non-invasive studies of the circulatory system of different turkey genotypes" what he defended in 2012. At the present time he is assistant professor of veterinary anatomy and diagnostic imaging at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
