Integrating Modern imaging modalities into 3D based radiotherapy (head and neck cancers, brain tumors, lung cancers).


Árpád Kovács MD. PhD has been working in University of Kaposvár since 2005. The focus of his research activity is integrating modern imaging modalities into 3D based radiotherapy. The basic of his PhD thesis was dynamic MR and mulitslice CT based tumor movement analysis. He is a leader of a PET-MR-CT based head and neck cancer study and an fMRI based planning study in GBM patient study.
In 2011 he spent 6 mounths at Harvard Medical School Brigham and Womens Hospital Surgical Planning Lab (USA, Boston MA) as a visisting associate professor.
He has been involved in radiographer BSC education program since 2005 (University of Pécs, Faculty of Healt Sciences). He is a leader of Dept. of Diagnostics since 2014 as associate professor.
