Following graduation, Dr. Donkó worked as the assistant of a pig veterinary consultant between 1999 and 2003. In 2000 he began his PhD research on the „Effect of atrophic rhinitis on certain production parameters of pigs” at Kaposvár University (Doctoral School of Animal Science). He obtained his doctoral thesis in 2005. Subsequently, he worked at the Kaposvár University, Department of Pig- and Small Animal Production (2004-2007) as researcher and lecturer. Today he works as a research scientist at the Institute of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Oncology. He is responsible for Research and Development projects as well as various educational activities in animal sciences.
